Our guest house

Lacassagne is an 18th century house, warm and surrounded by nature, in the heart of Gascony. It is located 500 meters from the small village of Larressingle and its famous citadel.

The building has around 600 m² of living space, more than half of which is open to guests. In the west wing, three guest rooms (Atacama, Etosha and Kerala) give access to beautiful living rooms: a large living room, an office-library, a dining room for breakfasts and a smaller living room for its privacy. In fine weather, we must add: a covered terrace with a spacious living room and two hectares of park where you can isolate yourself at your leisure. In the new, completely renovated section to the east, which we call "the Chai", two new bedrooms (Samoa and Trinidad) share another living room (private) and a half-covered terrace. These two bedrooms also benefit from the public spaces of the main house.

The "Chai" can also be rented as a 120 square meter gîte, with the living room and a dining kitchen as well as two private terraces.

Completed in May 2021, a 20 m long swimming lane (3 wide and 1.5 m deep), maintained at 28 ° C by a heat pump and secured by an electric protective curtain, is open from April 15 to October 15. A large bathing beach, located on the edge of the swimming pool, and the north terrace of the house (130 m²) complete the possibilities offered by Lacassagne.

Free breakfast is served every morning between 8 and 10 a.m.

Nyima and Christian

A short presentation of the rather atypical owners of Lacassagne...

Nyima, interior decorator, originally from Alsace (with links Austia, Germany, Poland, Paris and Savoie)... A colourful personality, a keen biker (she just got the new R18 from BMW !). Practiced her talents as an interior decorator mainly in France but also in Nepal and Chile. She is the soul of the place. She previously managed guest house in Savoie for 10 years.

Christian, a frequent traveler, organizer and incidentially the boss of Tirawa, a travel company that sells travel dreams around the world (www.tirawa.com).When he is there, he assists Nyima in the Lacassagne daily life. He is also a biker (Africa Twin Honda 1100), but still lags behind Nyima...

In September 2018, during an e-montain bike trip on pilgrimage route to St Jacques de Compostelle, between Le Puy en Velay and St Jean Pied de Port, they stayed in Lacassagne, which was already a guest house at the time, masterfully run by Maïder and Denise... Nyima and Christian literally fell in love with the place and offered to buy their new abode and began some renovation work for the opening which took place on April 1, 2020 ! 

In the vicinity of the house

Within a radius of 30km, there are a multitude of charming villages, remarkable sites, monuments, abbey and vineyards... Above all we are nesled in the calm of the Gers and its pristine nature. Just to cite few exemples : Larressingle (a medieval fortified village, classified among the most beautiful villages in France), Condom (an impressive southern French Gothic style cathedral), Fourcès (a circular bastide), Lectoure (An old Galio Romain town full of charm), La Romieu (a monastery classified by UNESCO)... The house is 5km from Condom, 27km from Lectoure, 45km from Agen, 128km from Pau, 130km from Toulouse, 150km from Bordeaux. An ideal base camp for discovering the Gascony !
