Lacassagne
Lacassagne is a charming guest house, partly built in the 18th century. Originally, this building was certainly used for storing Armagnac barrels. In the local architectural language, we speak here of "Gersoise", that is to say of a long house, with just a small part upstairs. Located about 500 meters below the village of Larressingle, this house is a mix between comfort and authenticity. It is located in the middle of six hectares, four being used by a farmer who cultivates organic crops and two forming a park planted with oaks and pines.
Three guest rooms occupy the west wing (Atacama, Etosha and Kerala) and two other rooms (Samoa and Trinidad) are located in the new renovated part of the "Chai".
Large common areas, open to travelers, offer a total change of scenery in the middle of the countryside.
The 20 m long swimming lane (3 wide and 1.5 deep), fully secured by an electric shutter and maintained at a constant temperature of 28 ° C by a heat pump, is available to guests from April 15 to October 15.
Here, little internet (except in the common areas), almost no network for mobile phones... We are in a white zone ... and very happy to be there. In return, squirrels, hinds, foxes, sparrows, owls fly and frolic in the meadows!

Located below the house, a swimming lane of respectable size: 20 m long, 3 m wide and 1.5 m deep, is open from April 15th to October 15th. Overlooking the swimming pool and its bathing beach, the large Fidji terrace offers an area of 150 m², suitable in summer for aperitif and festive libations. Lacassagne, instuctions for use
To fully enjoy this magnificent place, a few basic rules specify the accommodation conditions ...
For us, running a guesthouse means welcoming travelers into our homes looking for that style of experience. Lacassagne is not a hotel, we do not have a television, the internet is limited to common areas, cell phones are difficult to pass. This is an accepted choice, we are in the Gers, in the heart of the "white zone"! But on the other hand… we speak English, Spanish, German… And of course French. The exchange between our guests and us is essential!
We do not offer table d'hôtes. There are three restaurants in the village of Larressingle and many more within a 10 km radius! We can take care of reservations and direct our travelers to addresses that suit them.
The common areas of Lacassagne are completely at the disposal of guests so that an exchange can take place. A small moment of conviviality, so that everyone can get to know other travelers, is organized the day of arrival around 7 p.m.
A rich and varied breakfast is served every morning between 8 and 10 a.m.
We love animals… But in freedom. So at Lacassagne we do not accept cats, dogs, hamsters, pythons and other critters ...
When booking, a deposit of 50% of the entire stay is required. This deposit is refundable up to 15 days before your arrival. If you cancel after this time, the deposit paid will not be refunded!
At the time of booking we accept payment by Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer. We take the same means of payment for the balance of the stay, as well as the cash. No personal checks and no vacation checks.
Arrivals are from 4 p.m. and departures no later than 11 a.m.
